For many Jamaicans, faith is not an accessory.
It shapes family, community, language, meaning and how people understand suffering.
Prayer can bring genuine comfort.
So can the church member who brings food.
The pastor who checks in.
The friend who sits quietly.
And sometimes support also looks like a counselling appointment, medical assessment or prescribed treatment.
Faith and care do not need to compete for the same chair.
Sometimes both belong in the room.
