Trusted friend or family member
Useful when you need listening, company, transport, help with a task or somebody to stay close while you decide what comes next.
Faith or community support
A trusted faith leader or community person may offer spiritual care, practical help and connection. Choose somebody who respects mental-health support and does not turn pain into shame.
School or workplace support
A teacher, guidance counsellor, supervisor, HR contact or staff-support route may help when school or work is part of the pressure. Ask what is private before sharing details.
Counselling, therapy or medical support
Consider professional support when distress continues, worsens, affects everyday functioning, involves concerning symptoms or feels difficult to manage alone.
Crisis or emergency support
If you or somebody else may be in immediate danger, call local emergency services or go to the nearest emergency department. If it is safe, stay with the person while urgent help is being arranged.
